Bankruptcy Electronic Document Submission System

This system is for bankruptcy court case filings only. Documents will be accepted for existing cases only. District filings are not accepted in Bankruptcy EDSS. Users must be approved via Court Order to use the system. See EDSS Application and Administrative Procedures.

The Bankruptcy Electronic Document Submission System (EDSS) is a service that may be used by self-represented parties who need to file documents with the court as an alternative to mailing or bringing the documents to the courthouse.  Documents will be processed by the next business dayPetitions to open a new case and Proofs of Claim are not accepts via EDSS. Contact the clerk's office (816-512-1800) for information on filing a new bankruptcy case via our eSR system or a Proof of Claim via our ePOC system.

ECF users must file using CM/ECF and may only use Bankruptcy EDSS in the event of a technical failure or as otherwise directed by the Court.
