Named in memory of one of Kansas City's most distinguished federal judges, the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy runs from September through April of each year. The program is designed to teach trial skills and to foster professionalism, ethics and collegiality. Whether you are a new lawyer or a lawyer just embarking on a litigation practice, participation will provide practical skills opportunities as well as mentoring from judges and members of the Kansas City trial bar. This year, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri is offering ten scholarships for those in need of financial aid.
Scholarship applications are due August 12, 2016, and applications for the Trial Academy itself are due August 19, 2016. Please click the link below for further details and instructions on how to apply.
