Federal Court Remains Open Despite Government Shutdown

Despite the federal government shutdown, the United States Courts for the Western District of Missouri will remain open for regular business. The federal judiciary has fee generated reserve funds to remain open through October 17, 2013 under normal operating conditions. All proceedings and deadlines will remain in effect as scheduled. Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) will remain in operation for the electronic filing of documents and the issuance of court orders and opinions. Should this situation change after October 17th, updated information will posted on this site.

Please note, however, that the Court will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2013, in observance of Columbus Day.
