U.S. Courts – Western district of Missouri
August 8 - 10, 2012 in Kansas City, Missouri
Chief Judge Riley of the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals has opened registration for the 2012 Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference, August 8-10, at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. The conference is entitled "Landmark Litigation in the Eighth Circuit Courts: Views from the Bench, Bar and Academy." As the Western District is hosting the event, we are hoping for a big turnout from Missouri federal practitioners. To register and learn more about both the educational and social events planned, visit https://www.ce8.uscourts.gov/judconf/. And note that a new speaker that has just been added to the agenda:
Paul D. Clement – lead attorney for the 26 states in the Supreme Court arguments about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – has agreed to speak at the plenary session on Thursday morning. Mr. Clement, along with Mr. Theodore B. Olson, will present “Litigating High Profile Cases: Health Care, NFL, Bush v. Gore, etc.”
