Civil and criminal filings are accepted electronically from attorneys registered for electronic case filing or are accepted by mail or in person at the Clerk's Offices in Jefferson City, Springfield, and Kansas City. All filings by attorneys should conform to the General Order for Electronic Case Filing Procedures. See our CM/ECF page for more information.

ELECTRONIC FILING: Registered attorneys should file at http://ecf.mowd.uscourts.gov.

DROP BOX FILINGS: Diskette and paper filings can be made by drop box at the U.S. Courthouse located at 222 N. John Q. Hammons Parkway in Springfield, Missouri. The drop box is located inside the main entrance of the Courthouse. All fees and requirements apply as if you were making your filing in person.

Bankruptcy Court filings are accepted electronically from attorneys registered for electronic case filing or are accepted by mail or in person at the Clerk's Office in the Western Division at Kansas City at 400 E. 9th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. All filings by attorneys must conform to the General Order for Electronic Case Filing Procedures. See our CM/ECF page for more information.

DROP BOX FILINGS
: Diskette and paper filings can be made by drop box at the Charles Evans Whittaker Courthouse located at 400 E. 9th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The drop box is available for filings between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. New cases as well as motions and other documents can be dropped in the box and will be file-stamped for the date received. All fees and requirements apply as if you were making your filing in person. Your filings should be packaged in an envelope before they are deposited into the drop box.
