NOTICE RE: INTERNET ACCESS FROM KANSAS CITY BANKRUPTCY COURTROOMS

Effective April 1, 2005, access to the Internet by bankruptcy practitioners and staff will be available from attorney tables in Bankruptcy Courtrooms 6A, B, and C in Kansas City.

Instructions for connecting will be posted at each counsel table. You will need to know your home office network or IP address in order to access your office files. You may wish to speak to your systems administrator about how to make this connection if you are uncertain.

Any Internet access obtained in the courtroom must be in support of the court case or business at hand. Attorneys must bring their own laptop computers and records to take advantage of this service. The Court will not provide any equipment nor will it delay any proceedings due to technical difficulties or failures.

Sound and photo/video recording features of your equipment must be turned off while in court.

This Internet access is being provided free of charge. Costs for the service will be paid from the attorneys’ Bar Fund fees for practice in the Western District.
